Fred Velez – originally from South Florida, Fred played collegiately first at Miami-Dade North CC & St. Thomas University; playing in the former USISL (now the USL1) with the Coral Springs Kicks; Ft Lauderdale Kicks; South Florida Future & South Florida Select, and the Lauderhill Lions. Fred was invloved in coaching in Southern California for 12 years, having been an Asst Director at South Bay Force (now renamed LA Galaxy South Bay) for 9 years, before moving over to Beach Futbol Club where he coached the Beach FC G’95s to the Cal South National Cup Finals, USYS Far West Regional Semi-finals, as well as a 5th place finish in the USYS National League. Fred is currently involved with the Utah Youth Soccer Association’s Olympic Development Program (ODP), as an age group Head Coach. Fred holds the United States Soccer Federation National “A” License

Richard Breza – Richie played collegiately soccer at the University of California at Irvine; playing professionally in Northern Ireland, Singapore, the Continental Indoor Soccer League (CISL), the former A-League (now names USL1) & finished his career with the Utah Blitzz. Richie was named USL Finals MVP in his last game in 2004 with the Blitzz. Richie has coached youth soccer for 20+ years, working with both boys and girls. He has coached many players who have become professional and youth national team players. Richie’s teams have won tournaments throughout the country including Surf Cup, NHB, Harvest Cup and the USYS Far West Region IV Tournament.

Matt Linford - Matt Linford is a native to Utah growing up in Ogden Utah. His love for soccer came early at the age of 5 and it’s stuck with him ever since. Matt has been involved with coaching youth soccer in Utah for over 13 years. He has spent time as an administrator, coach, DOC, and coaching mentor with various clubs throughout northern Utah. Matt has been a part of UYSA’s TOSH State Select ODP program since 2006 and assisted with the 2015 ODP 99 boys National Championship team. He has participated with UYSA’s coaching education instructional staff from 2008 till 2014. After graduating college he assisted with the men’s team at his alma mater, Weber State and then went on to assist with some of the great Davis High teams. He currently holds both a USSF B License and a National Youth License. Matt works as banker doing business development by day and resides in Layton, Utah. In his spare time, he enjoys watching soccer, skiing, hiking, mtn biking and fishing with his friends and his dog in the Uintah and Wasatch mountains. He is a big Manchester United fan and hopes for their return to greatness, will come soon.

Anthony Alcox - Anthony is a recent Economics graduate of Westminster College in Salt Lake City, where he was a four year member of the Men's Soccer Team for the Griffins.  Originally from Park City HS, Anthony was a multiple UYSA State Cup Champion, while playing at Sparta under Patrick Rennie (current Boys Director for USA).


Bobby Kennedy – a former collegiate and professional player, Bobby now is the Head Coach at Rowland Hall – St Marks School, where he has won several Utah State HS Championships. Bobby played collegiately at Castleton State College in Vermont, then went on to play for the Nashville Diamonds in the ASL, and the Boston Storm in the former USISL (now called USL Pro). Bpbby holds the United State Soccer Federation National “D” License.

Cameron Crump - Cameron will be joing USA Metro after helping lead Salt Lake CC in the innaugural year at the NJCAA level.  Cameron previously coached at Olimpia FC in Herber.


Arshia Dezham - former player under Patrick Rennie at Sparta United, Arshia is currently pursuing his Master's Degree at the University of Utah.

Scott Langone - Scott Langone has 20+ years of teaching and coaching experience at the Middle School, High School and Collegiate levels. Scott played collegiately at Castleton State College and has coached at the NCAA III level in Massachusetts and Ohio. In 2003, while coaching at Mount Union in Ohio, Scott earned the Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year Award for Women's Soccer and the Ohio College Coaches Association Coach of the Year Award for Men's Soccer. Scott has lived in Utah for the last 9 years and has worked for various clubs while coaching the Boy's Soccer Team and teaching middle School at Rowland Hall. Scott is also on the Board for Break Thru Soccer. Scott is a native of Massachusetts and is an avid New England sports fan.

Rhet Scherschlict - formerly with Sparta United SC, Rhet brings experience to the club, having been involved in coaching for many years in UYSA.

Chris Palmer - Chris will be returning to USA Metro after a year hiatus to coach the G09 Premier team.  Chris previously coached at Sparta, and with USA Metro with the G99 Premier teams

AJ Snell - born in California, from Sandy, UT. Played for Sparta and Alta High School growing up. Practiced with RSL and Monarchs after high school. GK trainer for 3 years for USA. Played in Turkey for European recruiting agency. Played for Dixie State 2016-18. Head coach for u10 boys Heat FC 2016-17. Trained for RSL academy high school. Currently playing with the U of U mens soccer club.

Madison Roemer - Madison is a Salt Lake City local, who grew up playing for Forza, before being a standout and Team Captain at Westminster College here in SLC.

Jacolby Roemer - Jacolby Roemer is another local product, having grown up playing with Forza SC, while getting his US Soccer National Youth License and National D License.  Jacolby is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Law and Finance.  Jacolby will be coaching both the G11 Premier and the B11 Elite teams.

Shannon Jordan - Shannon comes over to USA Metro from Utah Glory, having previously coached the 07 Boys for 3 years.  Shannon played collegially at Colorado Mesa University, before moving to Utah.  Shannon is a positive, caring, fun, logical, adventurous, passionate, kind and loving.  I bring fun and my love for the game to each session and game. I am relational and care about each and every kid unconditionally.
